The first PVC windows appeared in 1960-s making a revolution in window production area. Today’s PVC windows comprise efforts of thousands of engineers and chemists, more than 40-years of application, modern technology of window profile and accessories production plus cutting edge methods for quality assurance.

Modern windows are complicated engineering constructions with most strict quality demands. Comfort and design of premises or apartments depend on the windows greatly.

Considering modern architectural and design construction requirements and taking using best practices by our predecessors, a subsidiary of a German investment company Glast GmbH, named Interglast has worked out proper plastic PVC window profile system under Winbau trademark. This is the first German company which started extrusion PVC profile window production in Ukraine, maintaining European standards.

For now the basic product of the company is a three-celled Winbau Optimum system, developed by leading specialists of “A+G Extrusion GmBH”. Being tailored to Ukrainian climate, this system has successfully passed its tests and meets all soundproof, heat insulation, strength, fire safety and sanitary requirements Another type of window profile systems produced by the enterprise is an elite five-chamber Winbau Premium system.

An important feature of all the systems indicating their utility is a wide range of basic and auxiliary profile types. The high-quality window profile allows the systems to provide for design and production of differently sized windows. It also gives the opportunity to create module sets and install windows onto window openings of different sizes.

Production of PVC profiles was started in August, 2005 at the factory situated in Kharkiv region. Its capacity is over 350 tones per month. In May 2006, the plant’s capacity was increased till 900 tones, and now it is 1200 tones per month. This allows for production of 50 thousands plastic windows per month which can provide several central Kyiv streets with window systems during a single month. 

The plant operates 24/7. The whole process is mainly automatic, which limits staff intrusion to control of the production cycle: 
beginning from raw quality assurance and production cycle through end goods and transporting, as the end goods quality can be adversely affected by minor technology or recipe violation.

Naturally our facilities boast the cutting edge equipment. The product lines were pre-tested by Austrian and German suppliers. The equipment incorporated multilevel QA system. The ingredients are thoroughly tested for compliance to the basic requirements: moisture and volatile substance containment, flowability, bulk density etc. and put to the automatic blending stations in a separate facility. The station is controlled by a computer console.

After blending, the mixture is kept for mature for 24 hours and comes to extruders where it is converted according to the technological requirements and pressed out under pressure through draw plat, which indicates the future window profile geometry. Treatment temperature is 150 till 200 degrees. PVC window profile running through calibration device is cooled by air and water to keep obtained configuration, then it is labeled, filmed and cut over six meters.

Complete plastic PVC window profiles are horizontally laid in purpose-made pallets and transported to the warehouses wherefrom our clients get it.

Our self-contained water supplying system is worth to be mentioned separately. It allows for operation of cooling of all extrusion lines as well as use water heat output for plant premises heating.

The laboratory at the facility keeps permanent watch over product accordance with all necessary parameters as: geometrical sizes, polish, color, weight. Also testing for PVC profile window shock resistance and welded joint, strength; temperature influence consequences are carried out

Producing PVC profile in Ukraine allows to greatly reduce expenses on shipment and delivery and what is mostly important - on time.
